The Guangdong qualifier of the 2026 Sohu Video Follow Stream Xingwu Yinhe National Otaku Dance Competition took place in Guangzhou's Nansha district on July 18. As part of the stage competition programme associated with the 23rd China Animation & Comic Competition Golden Dragon Award, the event brought dancers together to present choreography, character-inspired performance and creative stage expression.
Official event information shows that the 2026 competition combines online and offline tracks. The online track runs from June 18 to August 18, while Guangzhou hosted an offline qualifier on July 18. Successful contestants will continue their journey towards the offline final scheduled for October 4.
At the venue, stage lighting, event graphics and live performances created an energetic anime-culture atmosphere. Video livestreaming enabled remote viewers to follow the programme as it happened, while live photo coverage captured stage appearances, performances and audience interaction in a format designed for fast browsing and sharing.
RAY STUDIO supported the Guangdong event with video livestreaming, live event photography and behind-the-scenes filming. Together, these formats extended the competition beyond the physical venue and created reusable media for real-time communication and post-event coverage.
Further schedule and qualification updates should be confirmed through the event organisers' official channels.
