Dongguan Daily 40th Anniversary Film

Dongguan Daily marked the 40th anniversary of its founding with a commemorative brand film. As a major milestone for one of Dongguan's leading media organizations, the film needed to balance a strong sense of history with the energy of a modern news organization looking toward the future.

RAY STUDIO developed and produced the film around the theme “Forty Years of Witnessing Dongguan.” The narrative traces how Dongguan Daily has grown alongside the city, moving from archival newspapers and the dedication of generations of journalists to today's integrated multimedia newsroom.

The production combined 4K cinematic photography with restored and reworked historical materials. Expansive music, carefully paced editing and a restrained visual language pay tribute to four decades of reporting while presenting the publication's renewed role in the digital media era.
